Bible Teacher, Dr Solomon Appiah, received a Presidential Guest Invitation to the International Pastors' and Partners' Conference (IPPC) 2024 which took place from 11-17 November 2024 with the man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome. The week-long iconic event at the LoveWorld City was a momentous time of spiritual refinement, growth through the Word, and the celebration of faith exploits during the outgoing ministry year.
The first half of the conference focuses on messages from the Spirit of God to the Pastors and Leaders gathered. The second half focuses on inspired messages, equipping and celebrating partners via an awards segment—first, the prestigious departmental and then the Presidential awards.
LoveWorld Awards?
A Gathering of Champions & A Celebrations of EXPLOITS OF FAITH.
Rev. (Dr) Chris Oyakhilome D.Sc. D.Sc. D.D. has explained that the Holy Spirit asked him to host these awards. Is this christian? Well let’s interrogate some scriptures:
“Now the just shall live by FAITH; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” (Heb 10:38). Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Faith is illustrated as a fight which when won leads to awards of eternal life and crowns of righteousness (1Ti 6:12; 2Ti 4:7). The righteous lives and overcomes by faith (1Jn 5:4).
The LoveWorld awards are about celebrating those who fought and won the good fight of faith in their partnership journeys in advancing the kingdom of God’s agenda in the outgoing ministry year globally. These are champions, and the awards celebrate their EXPLOITS OF FAITH. The man of God Pastor Chris, referred to the partners as " helpers of/in war" (1Ch 12:1).
God’s soul has pleasure in champions of faith. He is pleased by faith, but it is impossible to please Him without faith. Being persuaded by Him and taking steps or acting on His word produces victories or faith miracles/exploits. This is how, by faith, the elders or those listed in God’s hall of faith or God’s list of Faith Champions obtained a good report (Heb 11:2). These people by faith overcame this world.
Heb 11:33-34 (KJV)
33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
God’s hall of faith in the eleventh chapter of Hebrews gives us a list of people who received not just a good report but rewards or awards from God.
Heb 10:35 (KJV) Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
Confidence is another word for faith. The verse says one should not forsake or forfeit their faith or give in during the fight of faith because once they win (receive the end of their faith), there is a great recompence (payment) of reward or award—both in this life and in the life to come. The writer describes this award or reward as megas or great. God is a rewarder and there is nothing wrong being imitators of God as we await the great awards of the Judgment Seat of Christ:
Heb 11:6 (KJV) But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
The exploits celebrated at the IPPC can only be accomplished through faith. The LoveWorld Awards at the IPPC is done annually in preparation for the Bema or the Judgement Seat of Christ, where each Christian will receive their awards or recompence.
Rom 14:10-12 (KJV)
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat (bēma) of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
2Co 5:10 (KJV) For we must all appear before the judgment seat (bēma) of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
As Pastor Chris has taught, “The Judgment Seat of Christ is different from the Great White Throne judgment. The Great White Throne judgment is the most terrifying of all judgments, and it is reserved for sinners. The Judgment Seat of Christ, on the other hand, is where we, the Christians, receive our rewards one by one from the Master, and not in groups: “…that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.””
As you can see from the above, the LoveWorld Awards are truly spirit-breathed and serves multiple purposes, including preparing the believer for the Judgment Seat of Christ.
